Capture the behind the scenes of SNOLAB

During a Global Physics Photowalk event, hundreds of emerging and established photographers have the rare opportunity to go behind-the-scenes at world leading science facilities. In the past, this has included SNOLAB as well as labs like CERN (Switzerland), Fermilab (USA), SUPL (Australia), and TRIUMF (Canada).

The Interactions Collaboration invites participating photographers to submit photos for local and global competitions. Each laboratory conducts local competitions and offers prizes to local winners. Furthermore, in the spirit of friendly competition, the top photos from each laboratory compete in two global competitions: a jury competition and a people’s choice competition conducted via online vote. Global winners have opportunity to be featured in Symmetry magazine, the CERN Courier, and as part of a travelling exhibit across laboratories globally.

The SNOLAB Photowalks will take place on Friday, May 23rd and Friday, May 30th at SNOLAB in Sudbury, ON. Applicants must be over 18 years old and can select one date only for consideration. All submissions will be thoroughly reviewed by the SNOLAB Photowalk Committee but due to the high volume of applications, only successful applicants will be contacted. Applications must be submitted by Monday, April 14 at 11:59 PM EDT.
