Melina Ralph

Project Manager

After completing my Bachelor of Materials Engineering at McMaster University, I started my career at Stelco – Lake Erie Works as a process development researcher where my main role was supporting new steel chemistry trials in the hot roll mill. After spending a number of years in southern Ontario, I moved back to Sudbury where I spent a short time at Makami Engineering as a Metallurgical Engineer in Training before starting as Project Coordinator at Patrick Mechanical working across various industrial sites (Glencore, Domtar, Detour Lake, and Vale). From Patrick Mechanical, I started as a Project Coordinator at SNOLAB.

I have mainly worked on PICO-500, SuperCDMS and nEXO before starting my interim role as project manager for SNO+.

Every workday is different at SNOLAB which constantly keeps me on my toes. There are always new challenges to be overcome from sourcing material locally that can be shipped and cleaned underground for installation in a timely fashion to preparing for the next upcoming project lifecycle review.
