Tremendous ideas at the Sudbury Regional Science Fair

April 15, 2013 — Local Community

SNOLAB was thrilled to be a part of the 44th Annual Sudbury Regional Science Fair. Three out of 4 local school boards were represented by 50 projects related to Science and Engineering.
SNOLAB sponsored a special award for an outstanding project related to sub-atomic physics, astrophysics or astronomy that demonstrated an understanding and contribution to the overall awareness of the project.

We were very happy to give that award to Connor MacLean of Algonquin Road Public School for his project, Using a Gravity Well as a Simulation Part 2: Planets Orbiting a Binary Star System.

Connor’s project also earned him a spot at the Canada wide Science Fair to take place in Lethbridge, Alberta in May.

Congratulations Connor and good luck!
