SNOLAB celebrates International Women’s Day

March 8th is International Women’s Day and is a day to celebrate women’s achievements, raise awareness against bias, and take action for equity. It’s a reminder that all women, from all ages and walks of life, have a place in society including in the STEM fields. The United Nations theme of International Women’s Day 2023 is “DigitALL: Innovation and technology for gender equality.” 

Today, we are highlighting some of the women-identified people who contribute to the science, infrastructure and operations here at SNOLAB, Canada’s deep underground science lab. By shining a spotlight on a few of the many women who are leading and supporting the work underway here, we aim to inspire the next generation to consider science and innovation as a place for them.
