SNOLAB and COVID-19

March 13, 2020 — Facility Updates

SNOLAB has been closely monitoring the COVID-19 (Novel Coronavirus) situation. We want to reaffirm that the health and safety of all our staff, students and users is of paramount importance and one of our core values. As a national laboratory, we remain committed to ensuring a safe environment for all.

As the global situation surrounding COVID-19 changes daily, we continue to keep a close eye on the best advice available to us. We have initiated our Emergency Response Plan for a Major (Tier 3) event, and senior staff meet daily to assess the situation. We know that our community is reaching out with questions and will have concerns. SNOLAB has been taking guidance from Public Health Sudbury & Districts, along with other public health agencies and universities, as we look to maintain the health and safety of our community.

We urge our staff, students and users to follow the precautions outlined by the Public Health Sudbury and Districts, as well as provincial and municipal governments.

Additional information is available for staff, scientists and users when they log in to our internal system.
