We detected gamma-ray emitting isotopes in rainwater collected in Sudbury, Canada following the Fukushima incident. The gamma activities were at elevated levels compared to a reference sample, but much less than normal background radiation. This measurement was possible due to the extremely sensitive well-shielded low-background germanium detector in the SNOLAB underground facility.
