International Day of Women and Girls in Science

Friday, February 11 is the UN International Day of Women and Girls in Science. This day was designated in 2015 by the UN General Assembly to “achieve full and equal access to and participation in science for women and girls, and further achieve gender equality and the empowerment of women and girls”.
SNOLAB believes that science is for everyone, and that anyone can be a scientist. In recognition of this day, we asked our community to share what they love about science. Among the responses was a theme of curiosity and asking questions from a young age. If you have young people in your life who are curious, they might enjoy trying some of these activities.
