Sudbury, Ontario, April 23, 2008 — SNOLAB and Honda Canada introduced Kota Ueshima, a research student at the University of Tokyo, and Olivier Simard, a research student at Carleton University today: they are the first Honda Fellows. Kota has spent the past three months working at SNOLAB and Olivier will be spending this autumn at the Kamioka Laboratory in Japan. SNOLAB and Kamioka Laboratory have similar interests in neutrino science and particle astrophysics. We are delighted that Honda Canada is sponsoring this program. The program provides exciting opportunities for students and will contribute to both laboratories’ work.
