Dr. Pearson appointed to the Order of Ontario

Dr. David Pearson, founding director of Science North, was appointed to the Order of Ontario on December 14th, 2016.
Pearson is the Co-Director of the Science Communication Program at Laurentian University and Professor in the School of the Environment, working in the Vale Living with Lakes Centre at Laurentian. His pioneering interactive approach to science communication has become a model for public science engagement.
The Order of Ontario recognizes individuals whose exceptional achievement in their field has left a lasting legacy in the province, Canada and beyond. Pearson was among 26 people who were appointed to the Order of Ontario for 2016. See the full list of appointees here.
