The Canadian Association of Physicists (CAP) is proud to announce Quantum Canada: Open Doors 2025, a coast-to-coast-to coast initiative celebrating Canada’s leadership in quantum science and technology. As part of the United Nations’ International Year of Quantum Science and Technology (IYQ), this day-long event will bring quantum to life for Canadians everywhere on May 3, 2025.
For decades, Canada has been at the forefront of quantum research and innovation, pioneering breakthroughs that have shaped the global quantum landscape. Quantum Canada: Open Doors 2025 will see at least 12 Canadian physics organizations unite to offer free public programming this Saturday, May 3, to celebrate quantum science and showcase their work to the public. From lab tours to public lectures and hands-on activities, this nationwide celebration will highlight Canada’s quantum achievements, engage communities, and help inspire the next generation of quantum innovators.
Participating organizations include:
● Simon Fraser University Burnaby, BC
● Memorial University of Newfoundland St. Jonh’s, NL
● York University Keele Campus, Toronto, ON
