Out of caution related to the spread of COVID-19, the Interactions Collaboration is postponing the 2020 Global Photowalk competition scheduled for this spring and summer. All participating labs, SNOLAB included, will postpone events and revisit planning at a later date.
The Global Photowalk is a worldwide science photography competition held by participating physics facilities in Asia, Europe, and North America. In this event, both amateur and professional photographers are given an exclusive opportunity to explore the world’s particle physics labs and share images of the world class science underway.
The Interactions Collaboration organized and sponsored these photowalks in 2015 and 2018. A new schedule for the Global Photowalk will be announced later this summer.
The Interactions Collaboration (Interactions.org) seeks to support the international science of particle physics and to set visible footprints for peaceful collaboration across all borders. The www.interactions.org website was developed and is jointly maintained by the Interactions Collaboration, whose members represent the world’s particle physics laboratories and institutions in Europe, North America, Asia, and Australia, with funding provided by science funding agencies from many nations.
